BLACK STAR — Grand Banks Europa 42, 1987 — Port Grimaud
It is difficult to find a name more emblematic of the cruising trawler than Grand Banks. Built in Singapore by American Marine shipyard, Black Star embodies this historic expertise: robust polyester hull, twin engines, twin pilothouse stations and exotic wood joinery that has endured elegantly through the decades.
A true cruising vessel
Originally equipped with 2 Ford Lehmann Super 135 hp engines (4,600 current hours, potential up to 20,000 hours) and a Cummins Onan 6.5 kVA generator, Black Star cruises at 7 knots for average fuel consumption of 14 L/h on twin engines — providing an autonomy of 1,250 nautical miles (2,250 km). Sufficient range to reach Corsica, the Balearics or cruise the entire coastline without concern.

- 3D Tender 3 m tender (5 seats) with Parsun 9.8 hp engine (2017), stored on sun deck, launched by electric winch
Twin Pilothouse Stations
An enclosed interior pilothouse in classic trawler style and an exterior pilothouse on the sun deck, for steering in sunshine or shelter according to weather conditions — the versatile characteristic of Grand Banks vessels.
Onboard Living
Complete L-shaped galley (induction cooktop, multifunction oven, refrigerator, abundant storage), three dining areas — interior table seating up to 6, aft deck and sun deck — to enjoy every moment of the day. Two double cabins, convertible settee in main salon, head with electric toilet, sink and shower. Original woodwork in excellent condition, warm and timeless ambiance.
Home Port
Year-round berth at Port Grimaud (83), perfectly sheltered port in any weather conditions — ideal departure point for Corsica and the numerous anchorages in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Transfer of berth potentially negotiable with the harbormaster.
