The birth of the Bali catamarans brand
The Bali catamaran brand was created in 2014 by Olivier Poncin, founder and CEO of the French shipyard Catana Group. The decision to create Bali stemmed from an observation of the market: most cruising catamarans were designed in a uniform way, with few significant innovations in design and functionality.
Poncin therefore created Bali as a separate brand complementary to Catana, with an emphasis on innovative concepts: the fully open foredeck and the integration of indoor and outdoor living spaces.
The launch of the first Bali catamarans
The first Bali model, the Bali 4.0, was presented at the Paris Boat Show in 2014 and immediately generated strong interest. Since then, the brand has launched several other models:
- Bali 4.1
- Bali 4.3
- Bali 4.6
These models were praised for their innovative design and sailing comfort.
